Tinku & Minku

Once in a school the principal decided to have a trip to KODAIKANAL. The cost was 1000/-. From classes VI-X. So mostly all the students gave the money. From class VII TINKU gave the money. But his parents did not allow MINKU his brother from class VI to go to the trip.So MINKU was sad , angry and jealous with his brother.
One day MINKU broke TINKU'S leg as he was angry. Then they all suffered;MINKU also had anyone to play with.

Rainwater Harvesting

Chennai is a hot city and we need water throughout the year. So every house should make provision for rain water harvesting. Olden days, villages and towns had big ponds and wells near all temples to preserve water. It is an old method of saving ground water that we should do to stop water scarity in our city.

We did it at our home. I won the prize telling this in school as a theme for my fancy dress competition with this dialogue:

"Adi atttatii,,,srirangathinidu chennaiku atthukarar transfernu vanda, orey thani prachana.. Palar thani, metro thani, bore thani nu ennenomo sollragna, eduvum nalla illa, eduvum pattaveyilla, ennnnagggooo, koncham antha rain water harvest rain water harvest sollrangaley, adu nammba attula pannkudataaa...." - the whole crowd gave a hearty laugh and first prize to pattu mami!

Visit Kancheepuram- The city of temples

We like going on weekend vaccations and visiting Kancheepuram was fun and learning. Wondered how people built such temples thousands of years ago and architectural marvel and sculptures were really surprising. I enjoyed the trip with both my brothers and family and all the more shopping for my silk skirts. We couldnt stop climbing upon the structures to see them close and taking pictures

This is my mother's friend Siddharth. Though with physical disabilities, he became a post graduate and very successful banker. He is very inspiring. We should respect people with different abilities and help them to lead normal lifes. I am waiting to meet him as soon as possible. Friends, help children who need your support- Aishu.

The First Mercedes

See the First Mercedes preserved in the "Automotive Hall of Fame" in Detroit. It almost looks like a cycle:-). Reminds a sticker on my cupboard which is my parent's favorite- "Beginning of all things is small" - Aishu
